Our history
TideSat is a startup spin-off from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). It is a result of years of research into remote sensing technique, specifically GNSS Reflectometry (GNSS-R). It focuses on monitoring sea levels and continental bodies of water. The company was born out of the desire to take the university research to society, in democratizing access to water level information through a new sensor.

TideSat's journey quickly evolved from research to entrepreneurship through an international award from the 2020 Galileo Masters competition, which provided the essential subsidy to start the entrepreneurial journey
Our advantages stoot out at the national and international level, through other awards such as the 2024 Gaucho State Researcher Award and the 2024 Minas Gerais Legislative Assembly Award.
Today, we are a benchmark in technological water monitoring solutions, helping to mitigate the impacts of climate change and promoting global innovation. Through TideSat's unique technology, we are revolutionizing the way water levels are measured and democratizing access to this information for a more resilient world.
